The following details an art-book fair in Los Angeles (2018), a pop-up art-book shop in New York (2019) and released Good Taste’s first publication (2020).  


GOOD TASTE PUBLISHING: “BOYS PEE ON THINGS” by Lida Fox


BOOK OVERVIEW
Good Taste’s first publication, “Boys Pee on Things,” by model and musician Lida Fox, features photography and writing by artists and friends including Lucien Smith, Chad Moore, Remy Holwick, Rebekah Campbell, Richie Davis and Zachary Chick. 

The book explores gender roles, specifically male vulnerability (or lack thereof), and how it has affected us in our lives. It’s funny, angry, melancholy, inquisitive, and ultimately joyous.

NY LAUNCH
Due to COVID-19, the New York launch has been postponed to summer 2020. 

LA LAUNCH
The book was launched at Opening Ceremony in Los Angeles, February 2020 with a special performance by Fox’s band, cumgirl8. Refreshments provided by Pabst Blue Ribbon and Madre Mezcal.

OVERVIEW
In tandem with Printed Matter’s NYABF, headquartered in Queens, NY, we curated a three-day shop in the center of Lower Manhattan. Artists and publishers included Dashwood Books, Boo Hooray, Vlad Gomez, Grave, Remy Holwick, Tony Tafuro, Kevin Emersin, Peter Sutherland, Toya Horiuchi, Joe Garvey, Stu-Gazi and B. Thom Stevenson. We partnered with Carhartt WIP, who provided t-shirts (artist Justin Hager created limited shirt designs for the occasion), Pabst Blue Ribbon and Miracle Seltzer, who provided refreshments and Vitsoe, who provided shelving.

OVERVIEW
In lieu of Printed Matter canceling their LAABF, we invited over 50 different publishers and artists to join us for a three-day art book fair. Additionally, we curated a pop-up shop to offer items for those who weren’t able to make it out. Collaborators included Little Big Man Gallery, Delicate Porcelain, Stu-Gazi, Remio, Deadbeat Club, Purple Magazine, Coloured Publishing, Remi Holwick, Iggy NYC, Peels, Fuct, Grace Ahlbom and Terrible Records. DJ sets by MadBadTing and Mia Carucci. A film series curated by Brooke Wise and afterparty were held on the roof of the Ace Hotel.
